health equity and advance medical research within underrepresented ethnic groups through collaborative community engagement initiatives. We strive to bridge gaps in healthcare access and ultimately improving health outcomes for all members of our community.

small to medium enterprises (SMEs) run by individuals of African and Caribbean heritage by providing a platform for networking, education, and business development.
Health
Our founder, Primrose Granville, lives with several serious health issues and is passionate about ensuring equitable healthcare outcomes for people of African, Asian, and Caribbean backgrounds. We advocate for health equity in areas such as Blood and Organ donation, HIV campaigns, Maternal Health, Neurodiversity in children and adults as well as cancer awareness for both sexes.
Research
In 2021, amidst the pandemic, BACE embarked on a journey of genomic and health research in collaboration with Genomics England. We actively engage communities across Bristol, London and Jamaica through workshops, events, documentaries, podcasts, and targeted surveys to address the lack of interest in health research among non-European communities and promote trust in clinicians and medical research.

PROJECTS
1st Year Medical Training
Since 2022, we have partnered with the University of Bristol (UoB) to participate in training first-year medical students by working with senior lecturers to deliver training to future clinicians aimed at raising awareness of how race, religion, and culture can influence healthcare.
Entrepreneurship
In 2016, BACE noticed a lack of representation for entrepreneurs from African, Asian, or Caribbean backgrounds at major business expos in Bristol. We intentionally set out to change this narrative by empowering entrepreneurs such as beauticians, caterers, artists and creatives from diverse backgrounds to showcase their businesses and contribute to a thriving entrepreneurial ecosystem in Bristol and other cities in the UK.
